Neue Unterkünfte in Botswana

Symponia ist geöffnet. Acht Chalets, alles neu und sehr durchdacht, sowie Camping. Das Essen ist wirklich hervorragend - super Location auf dem Weg nach Maun.

Wir hatten Mitte Oktober 2021 eine Nacht hier verbracht auf Durchreise. Kurzfristige Umbuchung unseres Reiseveranstalters, da die Tautona Lodge geschlossen wurde.
Das Guesthouse liegt direkt an der A3, was etwas Verkehrslärm mit sich bringt. Unterkunft selber ist sehr durchdacht, alles vorhanden in den Bungalows, super grosser Wohnraum und ebenfalls das Bad.
Das Essen war lecker

Pel's Island Camp

Voraussichtlich im Dezember 2023 öffnet eine neue Selbstversorger-Unterkunft im Delta.
Etwa 80 km NO von Maun, genau bei 19°39'06.3"S, 23°35'49.8"E und um einen 25 ha großen See gelegen.
Alle Einheiten bekommen vollausgestattete Küchen.
Der Preis wird sich bei US$ 150 ppn bewegen.

Luxus, Luxus, Luxus, ...
Bin gespannt wie das weitergeht. Wird jedenfalls für Touristen mit "normalem" Budget immer unerreichbarer. Dafür Zugang nur mit Helikoper etc. Die Chinesen bauen ihren Reichtum aber gerade etwas ab, von den Deutschen gar nicht zu reden. Interessante Zeiten.

Auf Kori wirst du nichts mitbekommen. Die neue Unterkunft befindet sich auf dem Gebiet nördl. des CKGR, welches auch als Hainaveld game farms bekannt ist. Auf der verlinkten Seite ist von Christian steht folgendes:

"... Camp is on the north-eastern boundary of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in one of the largest private game reserves in Botswana. Deception Valley Private Reserve spans more than 43 000Ha of pristine Kalahari wilderness."

Hallo in die Runde
Auf der Homepage ist die Rede von einer weiteren bereits bestehenden Lodge ist, diese ordnete ich wie von euch erwähnt oben im Nordosten bei Kuke und ausserhalb des CKGR ein. Aber die Orientierung versagte weil sie das neue Dune Camp textual im Deception Valley platzieren. Marketing pur.
