Hier die heutige Rückmeldung von Jean Bosco auf meine Frage nach der augenblicklichen Lage:
Hello dear Friederike,
Thank you so much for your response. It's always a pleasure reading from you.
Yes, we had Easter as is, considering the uncertain situation we live in.
My family and I, are somehow safe relatively but at any time the situation can change as rebels are in the vicinity surrounding this town.
Our daily life is also uncertain as no more tourism business since the M23 rebellion restarted it's attacks from the Virunga national park in addition to the Covid crisis we had faced before.
Also, because of Goma being isolated and asphyxiated, local food items are missing on the Goma local markets as roads from countryside are cut by rebels and forbiding
all the people's movements and local food stuff from the countrysides.
This kind of situation makes life here very costly and unbelievable.
The government army is very weak and contains a lot of traitors sometimes serving rebels' interests.
Many thanks for your donation of $500. It will be quite useful to face some of the problems we have here.
Banks here are still operating but with limited access and amounts. They know anything bad can happen to them that's why the are extremly careful with a very minimum service.
This means with this limited bank service, we can get receive money from outside.
Best regards
Jean Bosco
