Die Bevölkerung ist aufgerufenn das Unternehmen Uber anzurufen wenn Sie Erfrischungsgetränke und ähnliches für die Fire Fighter spenden möchten, diese Donations werden dann direkt beim Spender abgeholt.
Es muss wirklich ein heftiges und schwer in den Griff zu kriegendes Feuer sein.
Ich hoffe sehr, das Niemand dabei verletzt wird.

das sieht ja in der Tat fürchterlich aus. Hoffentlich kann das Feuer schnell endgültig gelöscht werden, bevor weitere Schäden zu beklagen sind.
Wir haben noch vor wenigen Tagen in Hout Bay im Village Square - das liegt gegenüber dem Chapman´ s Peak Hotel - gewohnt. Und in der sehr schönen Tintswalo Lodge hatten wir ein grandioses Essen - das wird wohl nie wieder möglich sein.

SAN Parks via FBSANParks expresses their sincerest condolences
The chairperson of the SANParks Board, Mr Kuseni Dlamini, has expressed condolences on behalf of the Board, Management and staff to the family, friends and colleagues of Mr Willem Hendrick ‘Bees’ Marias, who tragically died in a helicopter accident while fighting fires in the Cape Point section of Table Mountain National Park today.
Bees, as he was affectionately known by friends and family alike, played a vital role in supressing the fire that has burnt across the Table Mountain National Park during the course of this week. His vast knowledge, experience and skill as a helicopter pilot was respected by all.
According to Mr Dlamini “The entire SANParks family salutes the contribution made by Mr Marais as a helicopter pilot for the Working on Fire programme. He has made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting life and property during the fires that have been raging across the Table Mountain National Park, including the Cape Point section in which the accident took place. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person who played their part in suppressing the fire. Without the multi-agency co-operation among all partners which included SANParks Table Mountain National Park fire fighters, the Department of Environmental Affairs, Working on Fire and the Volunteer Wildfire Services, as well as the Department of Defence aircraft, the fire would still not have been contained”.

es ist immer wieder traurig daß Menschen dann im Löscheinsatz sterben müssen, nachdem irgendein Idiot fahrlässig mit Streichhölzern oder Zigarettenkippen umgegangen ist.
