Brown Hyena Research Project - wer will helfen?

Dear all,

I’m trying to compile additional data on brown hyena and aardwolf for the Red Data Book for Carnivores in Namibia.
I’ve uploaded all our carnivore data into the EIS system and I’m sure most of you have done so, too, but if there are any records of brown hyena or aardwolf that are not in the system yet, you are more than welcome to send the information to me and I will upload it on your behalf (ingrid.wiesel@strandwolf.org). Minimum data required are the species information, date and location (Lat/Long or QDS reference).
If you have density information on brown hyena, could you please also send me the density or population size estimate incl. the size of study area.
However, if you have processed camera trap data, I could make use of the following information for density estimates: No of independent brown hyena captures (e.g. 30 min between trigger events or else please specify) and survey length (hours or days) for each camera trap as well as the GPS location of the camera trap. Alternatively, I can use the photographic rate, but the above information would be more useful.
