Hallo,

wir suchen noch nach einer aktuellen Mana Pools Campsite & Lodge Karten Übersicht (möglichst mit GPS Koordinaten) - tracks4afrika Zimbabwe ist vorhanden - gibt es da ansonsten noch was sinnvolles zu kaufen ?

Geplant ist ein Aufenthalt von 6-7 Tagen

Eine guter Mana Pools Campsite Platz soll wohl

• die Nyamepi Campsite Mana Pools Nationalpark, Zimbabwe - Nr. 20 sein oder alternativ

• die Nyamepi Campsite Main Campsite Stellplatz 7 in der 2. Reihe

deutlich günstiger als die Plätze in der 1. Reihe, aber trotzdem tolle Sicht

Welche Mana Pools Campsites oder Lodge könnt Ihr aus eigenen Erfahrungen sehr empfehlen ?

Mana Pools NP Nyamepi Campsite. GPS S17 09.212’ E029 22.157’

From the main road it is about 2 hrs to the Mana Pools park office, close to the campsite. Great location, try to be allowed tour the campsite before you choose your site. If possible go for the last pitch (most eastern) on the river bank, just before the tour group one (don’t worry, tour groups are few and far between!) and you can use their stand pipe rather than trek to the ablutions. The site has water (drawn from the river and allegedly ‘filtered’, lots of bits in it & I wouldn’t drink it!), hot water and ablutions in reasonable working order. Fire wood is available from the park office/reception. You can book even more exciting and isolated riverside sites in the general area. You will be the sole occupant, but the booking must be done through the National Parks Office in Harare. If you need it, fuel is available at Karoi at one of the 3 stations there or at Springs, about7 kms before (north) of Karoi.
