Hallo Carsten, nochmal eine kurze Nachfrage, muß ich als Selbstfahrer für Fahrten zwischen 9.00 und 14.30 Uhr mich registrieren lassen bzw. vorbuchen oder kann ich ab 9.00 Uhr ohne Probleme die betroffenen Strecken befahren. Wer kontrolliert eigentlich, dass ich dann bis 14.30 Uhr die Piste wieder velassen habe? Viele Grüße Depeche
Hans advised me to contact this person in Kasane for fresh information on the Chobe river front....for May should do it ... I'm going in August and I hope it's still all the same....ciao Giorgio

There is some inaccurate information regarding the status of the Chobe River Bank route. We have been advised the River Bank route is under restrictions as previously announced (not suspended) and effective since February 1st. Access to the route by the self drive is available only between the hours of 9AM and 2:30PM, and only by reservations. There are no restrictions in the Ihaha area, except the River Bank route. The rest of the park is available to the self drive during normal park hours.
There is a new affordable camp opening June 15th at South Luangwa N.P. Zikomo Safari Camp offers comfortable chalets, rustic reed huts and campsites facing the Luangwa River. The camp is located within a remote, game rich area. Activities offered includes bush walking, game drives and night drives.
Another new camp will be opening ~June near Poho Gate of Chobe NP in a remote area.Camp Maikaelelo will have self catering tents and campsites. It is currently under construction. The camp will offer an interesting alternative for those people looking for an adventurous route. 🙁 🙁 🙁
