These mountains are sacred to us and they symbolise the struggle of our people for generations. Though often we are seen from a negative perspective there is a lot of love and care within our community at large in Hout Bay. We are a family and we are united.
We are saddened by the disappearance of Nick Frischke and do not fathom to understand the pain and frustration his family is dealing with and can only send our love and support to them. As a family unit ourselves in what we do as Karbonkelberg Tourism we will be doing all we can to help the family find their loved one to help them find some form of peace.
Thus this Saturday 4 March 2023 at 8am we would like to start a proper sweep of the area from the edge of the community up to the saddle of the Sentinel Peak of Karbonkelberg and we are calling on all in the community of Hout Bay and Cape Town that would like to help to please let us know their interest so that we can properly coordinate this, leave a comment below. However, should you wish to join on the day beware of keeping the roads manageable up Atlantic Skipper and Karbonkel roads for residents and SAPS along with other emergency services if needed.

Thank you to all that joined us in the search for Nick Frischke yesterday. We did all we could but we were unable to find him. We do hope SAPS and other organizations will be able to further deploy their services and continue the search.

Trotzdem die Genehmigung dafür nicht erteilt wurde,
streiken heute die NEHAWU (National Education Health and Allied Workers' Union) Mitglieder landesweit seit den frühen Morgenstunden.
Vor allem im Bereich von Krankenhäusern und öffentlichen Gebäuden kann es zu Protesten kommen.

The five Hangberg men who were arrested with items belonging to missing German tourist Nick Frischke in their possession appeared in the Wynberg. Magistrates Court this morning.
The five admitted to robbing Frischke, but claim that he ran away after the robbery.
The case was postponed pending further police investigation.
Police say that they will pull back from the ongoing search for the missing tourist until new information comes to light.
