Troubles for turist incoming Namibia

This is the information (part of the text copied below) from today's AZ-on-line. Does anybody know or have more information what is going on and why?

"Das Innenministerium: Warten, Willkür, Wutausbrüche
Es ist ein Dilemma für den deutschen Touristen. Sechs Wochen will er eigentlich in Namibia bleiben, doch als er am Sonntag eingereist ist, wurden ihm am Hosea-Kutako-Flughafen gerade einmal zehn Tage Aufenthalt in Namibia gewährt. Um auf Nummer sicher zu gehen, hat der Mann gestern beim Innenministerium seinen Aufenthalt verlängert. Die AZ schaute dabei zu."

Hi Bibka,
pls do not worry, this goes on and on since a couple of days in the newspaper. The ministry is already involved. Just check the incomming sheet, which everybody gets in the plain, then fill it out and check the date in your passport. We had no problemes untill now.
The two dates musst be the same . Your passport has to be value at least 6 month before you passport expires.

When reading this news it allready seem to me a bit strange but one never knows (esspecially when you don't know the country very well).

Nevertheless we'll be carefull.
