ich war gestern auf dem Vortrag in Hentiesbay. Das warm-up für Windhoek. Es war genial und lohnt sich sehr. Dauer 1,5 Stunden. Ich hätte noch Stunden zuhören / zuschauen können.
ich kopiere mal die Zusammenfassung von Heiko Denker:
The desert lion talk by Dr. Philip Stander was a huge success. It was wonderful to see that a lot of children attended. This is great for the future of environmental issues. The talk made it clear that Flips research is very useful as it highlighted that results are used by stakeholders to charter a course that gives a genuine chance for the survival of the lions. As a small example there was a big problem with male lions being killed threatening the survival of the lions. This was arrested and things are back on track. Nature also played its part as suddenly the birth of male offspring doubled compared to female. Isn't life amazing?? By the way, about 650 people attended and the event generated in the region of N$150,000 of funds which go directly to the project! Thanks to all the people who made it possible!!!
