There are now Toll Fee signs at the top (but not at the bottom!). The fee for passenger vehicles, vehicles with trailers and bikes has now been increased to R30.
However, if your vehicle’s Tare mass exceeds 2000kg (e.g typical Landcruiser, Discovery etc.) then you are classed as a goods vehicle and must pay R60!! The border police will issue a fancy new receipt (only if you ask for it) but they cannot produce any written proof (i.e. copies of the relevant legislation or regulations) regarding the toll fee amounts and corresponding weight limits.
