Fast zeitgleich mit Mata Mata wird Sendelingsdrift eroeffnet und damit die lange Anfahrt von Namibia aus wesentlich erleichter.

Note the following,
Only two vehicles at a time on the ferry, 1 vehicle if you have a trailer
Time frame between arriving and leaving estimated 50 minutes (excluding searches etc)

Operating hours 08:00 – 16:30 (SA time)



The plan in the near future will be to establish a basic camping/accommodation facility on the Namibian side for people arriving outside the operating hours, camp will be run by parks board

Alles schon mal dagewesen, aber gut dass es wiedereröffnet wird.

Das erleichtert künftig die Reise erheblich, auch wenn damit die Gefahren des Tourismus Einkehr halten werden.
Wir hatten letztens schon das Gefühl, dass das Richtersveld langsam zu überlaufen wird. Mit der Grenzöffnung ganz sicher. Schade drum, obwohl ich es mir der Einfachheit halber auch gewünscht habe.
