Nach meiner Erinnerung wurden die Einsprüche der San/Basarwa beim Appellationsgericht gegen die OGH-Urteile maßgeblich durch SI ermöglicht. Die Berufung gegen das Aufenthaltsverbot aus 2010 und Aufhebung in 2011 war ein großer Erfolg. Aber die Khamas waren trickreich und wollten das Rückkehrrecht später nur auf die NAMENTLICH klagenden/berufenden PERSONEN anwenden und nicht auf die Basarwa als Gesamtheit, so wollten sie deren Vertreibung langfristig "biologisch" erreichen …………… endlose Geschichte mit bekanntem Ausgang.

die gute Nachricht des gestrigen Tages: Selbstfahrer in Botswanas Nationalparks weiterhin erlaubt

Es gab an den neuen Minister für Umwelt und Tourismus am 11. Dez im Parlament die neuerliche Anfrage wie folgt:

𝟭𝟭. 𝗠𝗥. 𝗚. 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗢, 𝗠𝗣. (𝗢𝗞𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗢 𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗧): To ask the Minister of Environment and Tourism to give a concrete date on when the Tourism Act of 2000 will be reviewed to align it with the new developments in the tourism sector; the Minister should also apprise this Honourable House on:
(𝗶) whether Government is aware that international tourists without the right documents (i.e. Professional Guides License (PGL) make up almost 80% of tourist traffic in the parks as self-drivers;
(𝗶𝗶) related to (i) above, whether the Government realises the economic benefits ( to the locals) of stopping self-drivers in national parks and reserves to allow only licensed people to conduct and lead ethical and sustainable guided tours within national parks; and
(𝗶𝗶𝗶) the intention, plan and strategy for the Government to promote safety for all (i.e., wildlife, people and the environment) by building sufficiently gravelled roads to link destination and attractions like in neighbouring countries (i.e., Namibia, Zambia, South Africa and Zimbabwe).(𝟵𝟵)

welche wie folgt beantwortet wurde:
Selbstfahrer sind eine spezielle Form des Tourismus, welche großen Wert auf Unabhängigkeit und Flexibilität legen.
Sie sind, durch Übernachtungen, Einkäufe, ect. ein wertvoller Beitrag zur lokalen Wirtschaft.
Das Selbstfahren zu verbieten, würde Botswana nicht helfen;
im Gegenteil, es würde Botswana isolieren, und die Selbstfahrer würden in Nachbarländer ausweichen.
Es gibt kein Vorhaben das Selbstfahren in Nationalparks zu verbieten.
Da Botswana großen Wert auf die Sicherheit seiner selbstfahrenden Touristen legt,
werden auch laufend jene Straßen saniert, welche zu den Nationalparks führen, oder sich in diesen befinden.
