DWNP will Parkeintrittsgebühren auslagern

Government to outsource park fees collection
Minister of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism, Philda Kereng yesterday told North West district leadership that government plans to outsource the management of park fees to private companies.
“We want to outsource some of operations within the sector. One of which is outsourcing the collection of management of park fees. Currently DWNP in addition to their many other duties also collect the fees and we believe that is not working right now. We want to outsource that which will provide opportunity for local entrepreneurs.”
The outsourcing is part of governments’ ongoing tourism revival strategy which comprise of earmarked income generation activities throughout the country. Kereng said MENT has devised an alternative plan: ‘Post COVID-19 frame work’, to revive the tourism sector. “We may not bounce back where we were post covid but we may sustain ourselves.’ She stated.

Regierung denkt Direktflüge Europa-Maun an

Directs flights to Maun finally
In what could be good news to the tourism sector, government is contemplating to introduce direct flights from Europe to Maun in a move aimed at facilitating the development of the tourism sector post covid-19.
This was revealed by the Minister of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism when addressing North West District leadership and other tourism stakeholders in Maun on Thursday.
‘We want to have a dialogue with Air Botswana and Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana for direct flights to land in Maun directly this will catalyse tourism growth in Botswana. ‘
Maun International Airport is currently serviced by Airlink and Air Botswana from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Hub. However lack of direct flights from Europe has been blamed as a hindrance for tourists flying to Botswana’s destinations.

liebe @Gina,

Long Range Flugzeuge brauchen 6797ft bis 9743ft.

@Gina,
