The circle of life

seit eben weiß ich, warum bzw. wie die zwei "unserer" drei entzückenden Löwenbabys am Khwai ums Leben gekommen sind.
Renate, du kannst die Fotos des Löwenmanns wieder aus dem Papierkorb holen (ich hoffe, du hast sie nicht für immer gelöscht, wie du es angedroht hast
) - er war es nicht!
Dadurch, dass Face darin markiert war, habe ich auf Facebook folgenden Kommentar von zwei Gästen des Saguni Camps in Khwai gelesen, der sich auf Oktober bezog (auf die Idee, direkt Face nach dem Schicksal der beiden zu fragen bin ich gar nicht gekommen...
). Leider habe ich nicht schnell genug runtergescrollt und das Foto des verletzten Löwenkinds mit dem offenen Bruch des Unterkiefers gesehen

Anyway this poor baby had it's lower jaw broken, and is unlikely to survive. The law of the jungle. Our guide Baefesia Bushman Sango did stop and ring the rangers, but they were unabale to offer help because no vet was available to come out that day. This was late morning and we do not know if the two injured cubs survives that night.<<<

The author misunderstood me. It wasn't Jackals attacked the cubs but Hyenas.
Yes one of them was fresh. I am very certain it will survive.I will keep you posted<<<
Face war jetzt eine Weile nicht in Khwai, wie er mir schreibt, aber Simi hat das eine Löwenkind auf ihrer letzten Tour ja auch nochmal gesehen - gesund und munter.
