Hallo Nadine und Leona,
wann seid Ihr denn dort gewesen?
Kubu or Lekhubu Island lies on the edge of Sowa pan and has grown into a very popular overnight destination. Current rates are: Camping international P.150 pppn, entrance fee P.50 pppd and a tourism levy of P. 10 and viewing deck fee of P. 5 brings the final bill, incl VAT, to P. 480 per couple. Scattered on the rock island are chemical toilets as the only amenities. Bring all own water, firewood and food. Overnight visitors are asked to vacate their sites at 10 a.m. the following day. New arrivals come as early as lunch time since the camp sites are allocated on a first come first serve basis. #6 and #10 are in our view the best ones with open views onto Sowa pan. Late arrivals without prior booking are accommodated in between sites and the total of people at Kubu per night is staggering.
