Im Ostkongo gehts wieder mal rund, die M23-Rebellen rücken in Richtung Goma vor.
Jean Bosco hat mir folgende eMail geschrieben (den Link musste ich selbst einfügen, da das Forumsprogramm den nicht so akzeptiert hat wie er im eMail stand, der Rest ist ein 1zu1-Zitat):

Because of the continued violence and unrest in the Virunga National Park regions of Eastern DRC, thousands of families have had to flee their homes near Rutshuru and are currently seeking refuge in the Kanyaruchinya IDP camps. The M23 rebels have continued to advance toward Goma, affecting more and more families and creating chaos in their fight against the DRC government.
UNICEF and its partners have set up 18 temporary learning spaces in Nyiragongo territory, where more than 2,300 children attend school, but many are without clothes, shoes, and basic necessities as they left everything behind. This news video shows what many have been enduring for months on end:

If you have had the fortune of visiting Virunga, or climbing the nearby volcano, you know the beauty and richness of this region. Dann folgte noch eine persönliche Erklärung zu unserem Mitglied Friederike alias 'CUF', der er mehr als nur dankbar für ihren unermüdlichen Einsatz für die Spendenaktion für die Schule beim Virunga NP ist!
Weiters schrieb er:

This new campaign is only for displaced pupils in the camp as you can see on the Twitter link in the introduction/description of the project.
The first project is very stable as it's supported by the laying chickens project you (donors) have already supported.
Therefore, pupils are attending classes in a very stable situation'
MIr ist bewusst dass mit dem Krieg in der Ukraine und dem Erdbeben an der türkisch-syrischen Grenze schon viele viel gespendet haben, aber ich bitte Euch alle dabei auch an die anderen Kriege in dieser Welt zu denken, wie hier die Rebellenangriffe im eigentlich so paradiesischen Virunga-Gebiet im Dreiländereck Uganda-Ruanda-DR Congo. Auch jene Menschen brauchen weiterhin Hilfe.
